I’m really interested in learning to play the piano. I’m willing to pay money for lessons but I’m worried it will be really difficult and i’ll be tempted to quit.
Some songs are harder then others. I never took lessons, I just go on Youtube. I go to Shawncheekeasy and Brad99r. They teach you how to play a lot of songs on the piano.
Learning to play the piano is hard, of course depending on the song you play. I think that if you take lessons, you will probably like it, and not be tempted to quit. You might if the teacher is really horrible, and the songs are impossible, but that is most likely NOT gonna happen.
If you are willing to take up maybe one hour on (probably) a Saturday, and you think you are really dedicated to learning it, then go for it! Or, if you don’t wanna, you could always learn from videos on the computer, like I did! I learned a few really good songs, like Every Time We Touch by Cascada!
Hope I helped!

no… learning to play the piano is pretty easy, if you have a good teacher, some teachers will want you to start with something very difficult but the good ones will start you off easy and work your skill up before moving on to more challenging stuff.

Well No. It Depends on how You want to learn. by Ear or By Teacher.
I play, and i taught myself by ear. It takes alot of Practice and alot of dedication to learn songs and The Keys. I’d Recommend finding a good teacher, weather its in school or locally. Learn the Basics, learn the Keys. If you want to get a head start learn how to read music.
Some see it has very difficult, some see it as easy. Depending on how much you want to learn and how much effot you put into learning, Results in the difficulty of playing the piano

I’d say it is one of the easiest instruments to learn. I’ve played for ten years, and the things that are hard for me are not because of the piano, but because they are built to be hard, (six flats triplet scales etc.) there are a lot of things you can learn that are not hard, especially if you are good at typing. Make sure you get a good teacher though. It is a beautiful instrument.
you can learn only by ear, but I think it is best to do both. I started with reading music, and 3 or 4 years ago I started learning more about playing by ear Do your best to learn to read sheet music. I can hardly describe the joy of sitting down with a peice I’ve never played before, I feel like the music is part of me. Knowing chords and how they go together is taught with playing by ear but it also helps with sight reading, if you can recognize the chords you can play it a lot easier.

This is good for training by ear.
Try finding "Piano for life" it is a DVD program, that starts with "Piano for Quitters" "Piano for life" goes over the same things that are in "quiters" and is VERy boring if you have already done "Quitters.
You can pretty much teach yourself the basic theory (scales, rhythm, time signatures, key signatures) but in order to play properly you will need a teacher. She/he will show you the proper technique needed to avoid injury, to get certain types of dynamics from the piano, as well as more theory. Alot of things in life are difficult. Do you quit everything that seems "too hard?"

The answer to your question is yes and… no – you see it all depends on what you wish to play. If you wish to play classical music or jazz to a high standard, then I’d have to say its pretty tough. On the other hand – if you just aspire to light pop tunes – not so much.
My advice is… give it a try… its the only way you’ll find out for sure.

It’s easy, depending on the song you play. It’s easier than guitar, because to play a note, you just press down on a key, and for guitar you have to hold your find in a specific position and it hurts your finger. Some songs on piano are hard, because you need to know certain techniques or you have to be able to play really fast, but you’ll learn that in time. If you have the time practice and spend time fixing up small mistakes in a piece you play, then you’ll have no problem with the piano.

If your attitude is that you want to learn, learning will be easier. If your attitude is that it’s difficult, you’ve already set yourself up for failure.
… Yes, there are times that you’ll be discouraged. You can survive them.

No, it is easy to learn piano but it depends on the type you are learning i.e., by online classes or by real teacher. If you learn by online classes it will be difficult but if you learn through real teacher it will be easy and they will clarify all your doubts and teaches you the best and learning piano also depends on the interest you have in learning it.So, it is better to prefer real teacher.
