How can u play piano at different times?
Filed under: how to play piano

OKay I’ve been playing piano for about 5 months and I’ve been trying to learn how to play A thousand miles on the piano but the left and right hand is played at different times. Thats reaallyyy hard to pick up on! Is there anyone that can give me some advice on how to practice doing this? Much apprieciated. Thank youu. :)

It depends on what those times are. If you still end up with the same number of beats in a measure (like if you have 2/4 and 6/8), you could count in that number of beats, and you would just be playing different rhythms on each hand. If the measures cannot be counted together that easily, create your own way of counting it so that it does work, even if it means grouping different numbers of measures together on each hand.
